Kaspar Füger

Kaspar Füger ( * before 1521 in Dresden, † after 1592 ) was a German Lutheran pastor and hymn writer.

Life

Kaspar Füger was born before 1521 in Dresden. He worked as a Saxon court preacher in Torgau, and later he served as pastor at the Dresden Cross Church. After 1592, he died there; his son of the same had made a name for himself as a composer of hymns and as a cantor.
