Kastos (Greek Kάστος ( m. sg. ) ) Is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea, which belongs to the archipelago of Tilevoides within the Ionian Islands. By 2010, she was an independent country church (Greek kinotita κοινότητα ) in the prefecture of Lefkada, with the administrative reform in 2010 it was incorporated into the municipality of Lefkada, in which it has since formed a district.

From the neighboring island of Kalamos Kastos is separated only by a half a mile wide Sund; the distance to the mainland is eight kilometers. The hilly and only moderately vegetated island is about eight kilometers long, up to a kilometer wide and has an area of nearly six square kilometers. The highest point reaches a height of 155 meters. The official population is 79

On Kastos constantly live just 50 inhabitants, almost all live on the east coast in the same harbor Kastos. There is a much smaller hamlet on the west coast. Agriculture is negligible. Also, the fishing continues to lose its meaning. Although tourism is still underdeveloped, it plays an increasingly important role.

A package tourism, there are not yet; the only pretty hard to reach the island is becoming increasingly popular with sailors but as a port. There are accommodations and taverns at the port of destination. Also bays are available.
