Katagami (Akita)

Katagami (Japanese泻 上市, - shi) is a city located in Akita Prefecture on Honshu, the main island of Japan.

Geography

Katagami is located north of Akita on the Japan Sea.

History

The city was Kagagami (饭 田 川 町, machi ) and Shōwa (昭和 町, machi ) founded on 22 March 2005 from the merger of the municipalities Tennō (天王 町, machi ), Iitagawa in the district of Minami- Akita.
