Kate Alexa
Kate Alexa Gudinski ( born March 2, 1988 in Melbourne) is an Australian singer. She is the daughter of Australian music promoter Michael Gudinski. Kate Alexa's first hit was the single Always There from the year 2004. Their second single My Day Will Come was a chart success. By supporting the Backstreet Boys, the third single All I Hear came in the top ten of the Australian charts and remained eight weeks in the top 20
Life and music career
Kate began at the age of thirteen to write songs. The following year they recorded their first demo with the own song Colours of the Rainbow. In 2004, she got a record deal with Liberation Music. The debut single, Always There, was chosen for the successful Australian series Home and Away.
After high school Gudinski studied at a university in Melbourne English and photography. In the same year she released her second single My Day Will Come. This single scored a top hit in the Australian charts. On her eighteenth birthday, she released the third single All I Hear that a top hit on the Australian singles chart was also. On 23 September 2006, debut album Broken and Beautiful was released.
In 2007, she wrote twelve songs, including two bonus tracks for her album Broken and Beautiful and ten songs for their new album, Just Add Water, which as a soundtrack for the Australian series H2O - Just Add Water serves. The album was released in September 2007 and appeared in over 120 countries, including Germany.
Their album Broken and Beautiful came to Japan in February 2008 in the stores. In February and March 2008, she supported Cyndi Lauper on their tour of Australia.
