Kate Burton ( born September 10, 1957 in Geneva ) is an American actress.
Life and achievements
The parents of Kate Burton, Richard Burton and Sybil Williams, were actors. Burton studied at the School of Drama at Yale University, she also completed a study of Russian language and European history at Brown University.
Burton debuted on her father's side in the historical drama Queen of the Thousand Days of 1969, but was not mentioned in the credits. In the action-comedy Big Trouble in Little China ( 1986) she played alongside Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall one of the major roles. Their appearance in the television series ABC Afterschool Specials in 1995 brought her the 1996 Daytime Emmy Award.
As a theater actress Burton pieces Hedda Gabler and The Elephant Man was nominated for two Tony Awards in 2002 for their roles. In the television thriller Obsessed (2002), she took over next Jenna Elfman one of the main roles. In the film drama Empire Falls (2005) she played the role of the daughter of the head of Miles Roby ( Ed Harris) who is in love with this for years.
