Kate del Castillo
Kate del Castillo ( born October 23, 1972 in Mexico City as Kate del Castillo Negrete Trillo ) is a Mexican actress.
Life and achievements
Kate del Castillo is the daughter of actor Eric del Castillo ( b. 1930 ). She made her debut in the film drama El último escape from the year 1980. Known she made her role in the television series Muchachitas from the year 1991. In the television series Ramona in 2000 she took over the lead role of Ramona Moreno.
Kate del Castillo played in the film drama American Visa (2005) one of the main roles. For this role she was nominated in 2006 for the Mexican Silver Ariel. In the thriller Bordertown (2006) she starred opposite Jennifer Lopez and Antonio Banderas. In Marco Kreuzpaintner Trade - Welcome to America (2007) she starred alongside Kevin Kline; in the French thriller Julia ( 2008), she stepped on to the side of Tilda Swinton.
Kate del Castillo was married from 2001 to 2004 with the football player Luis García Postigo.
