Kate Larson

Kate Clifford Larson is an American historian who has dealt primarily with the U.S. slavery opponent Harriet Tubman. Your 2003 published biography Bound for the Promised Land: Harriet Tubman, Portrait of an American Hero was the first Tubman biography for more than sixty years, which was not written specifically for a young audience. Kate Larson is also an advisor to the Harriet Tubman Special Resource Study of the National Park Service and a member of the Advisory Board of the Underground Railroad in Delaware.

Kate Larson received his PhD from the University of New Hampshire. Today, she teaches at Simmons College in Massachusetts.
