Kate O'Mara
Kate O'Mara ( born August 10, 1939 in Leicester, Leicestershire, † March 30, 2014 in Sussex ) was a British actress.
Life and career
O'Mara was the daughter of actress Hazel Bainbridge and the Royal Air Force flight instructor John Carroll. She began an early career as a speech therapist at the Sussex Girls School before she gave in 1963 her acting debut at the theater. Although it had previously been involved in numerous films and television series, her breakthrough came in the United States in 1986 with her role of " Caress Morell " in Dynasty. Last O'Mara was seen in 2012 in a cameo of the series Benidorm. Overall, it was involved in about 60 film and television productions.
O'Mara was married twice. Her son Dickon Young (1964-2012) was, inter alia, stage manager at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Her younger sister Belinda Carroll ( born 1945 ) is also an actress.
She has published four books: two novels and two autobiographies.
She died on March 30, 2014 at the age of 74 years.
