Kathy Griffin
Kathleen Mary Griffin ( * November 4, 1960 in Oak Park, Illinois ) is an American actress, voice actress, producer and stand-up comedian.
Biography
Childhood and youth
Griffin was born as the youngest of five children of John Patrick Griffin and his wife Maggie Griffin. Together with her three brothers and a sister, she grew up in Oak Park and the nearby Forest Park. She graduated in 1978 at the Oak Park and River Forest High School.
Career
In the 1980s, Griffin joined the legendary improvisational comedy troupe The Groundlings, and had with this their first appearances. She began her television career with guest appearances in various television series such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Emergency Room and Mad About You. Through these guest appearances one was on Griffin's talent as a comedian closely. So she was allowed to occur for the first time in 1996 in a produced by HBO Half- Hour Comedy Special. Your breakthrough came in the same year in the role of Vicky Groner alongside Brooke Shields in the television series Susan, she held until the end of the series in 2000. In 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011 she was nominated for this award. From April 2012 to March 2013 was in the USA on Bravo their late-night show Kathy.
Kathy Griffin was married from February 2001 to May 2006 with Matt Moline.
