Katia and Marielle Labèque

The sisters Katia ( born March 11, ( according to other sources: March 3 ) 1950 in Bayonne ) and Marielle ( born March 6, 1952 in Bayonne ) is a well-known French piano duo of the present.

Life

The daughters of Italian piano teacher Ada Cecchi received piano lessons from her mother before she attended the Conservatoire de Paris. Her wide -ranging repertoire includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Liszt and George Gershwin to contemporary composers.
