The Katina P was a Greek oil tanker in possession under the Maltese flag.

The tanker was on the route from Venezuela to the Persian Gulf with about 72,000 tons of heavy fuel oil on board, when he suffered structural damage in a storm. He was put some miles off the coast, about 40 km north of Maputo, Mozambique, due on 19 April 1992. A tugboat pulled the ship turn into deep water, but where it sank. There were massive environmental damage.
