Katja Dieckow

Katja Dieckow ( born September 9, 1984 in Halle ( Saale) ) is a German water jumper. It starts in the art of jumping from 1 m and 3 m board.

Katja Dieckow studied at the Martin- Luther -University Halle -Wittenberg biology and made in 2011 graduated with a degree in biology. It starts for the SV Halle. There she is trained by Horst catfish, former coach of the athlete were active since 1992 Heinz Werner Preuss and Bänsch. At the German Championships 2006 in the hall, she was both the 1 m and 3 m from the Board Vice-Champion. In the outdoor championships of the year they won the title from the 3 m board as well as the runner-up title from the 1 m- board and synchronized diving from the 3 m board. 2007 were added to the runner-up title in the 3m synchro and the third rank from 3 m board, outdoors, she won the title from the 3 m board in synchronized diving. This title she won in 2008 both in the halls and in the open air again. In individual she won bronze in the hall, outdoor silver. Dieckow previously won twelve titles at German Championships.

International launched Dieckow first time in 1998 at the European Junior Championships, where she finished fourth from Einmeterbrett. She was Vice European Champion 1999 in this competition. In 2001, she was able to win the title. 2002 was again added silver. In addition Dieckow won silver in the synchronized diving from the three -meter board. At the Junior World Championships in 2003, she won in the synchronized diving from the three -meter board bronze. Best result at FINA Grand Prix diving were two second places.

At the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne Dieckow reached seventh place in the 2008 European Championships in Eindhoven, she won silver from the 3 m board and bronze from 1 m board. With their good performances of the year, Dieckow qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, where she was 18th from 3 m board. At the European Championships 2009 in Turin, she won along with Nora Subschinski silver in the synchronized diving from the 3 m board. At the European Championships 2011 in Turin, she won again with Uschi Friday in synchronized diving from the 3 m board the bronze medal in the same year, the duo finished fifth at the World Championships.
