Kató Havas

Kató Havas ( born November 5, 1920 in Târgu Secuiesc ( Kezdivasarhely ) ) is a Hungarian -born violinist and violin teacher.

Life

Kató Havas began at the age of 5 years playing the violin and had in her childhood public appearances. At the Academy of Music in Budapest, she received her classical training soloists. Your American debut took place in 1939 at Carnegie Hall in New York, which was followed by some touring. For personal reasons she gave up another concert activities, and devoted himself entirely to teaching and raising their three daughters. In 2002 she was awarded the British Queen for her services to music award Order of the British Empire.

Method
