Katsuaki Asai

Katsuaki Asai (Japanese浅井 胜 昭Katsuaki Asai ) ( born February 18, 1942 in Tokyo ) studied at Meiji University and is a senior Japanese Aikidōlehrer in Germany. He has the 8th Dan Aikido Aikikai of Tokyo and is for Germany the Aikikai Shihan, that is, the person with the highest teaching and of scrutiny.

Life

In the neighborhood of Ueshiba dojo grew up in Tokyo, Katsuaki Asai began training at the age of 13 years Aikido. At age 23, at that time owner of the 4th Dan, Asai came to Germany for the first time. On the distribution of Aikido Katsuaki Asai in 1965 by Kisshomaru Ueshiba (head of the Aikikai Hombu Dojo and son of Aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba ) was sent to West Germany.
