Katsutomo Kaneishi

Katsutomo Kaneishi (Japanese金石 胜 智, Kaneishi Katsutomo; born November 21, 1968 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese racing driver.

Kaneishi began his career in racing in 1989 in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. On a Ralt RT33 he was at the end of the year with 18 points in fifth in the championship. Although in 1990 he already denied Race to the Japanese Formula 3000 Championship, he remained in Formula 3 and was founded in 1991 after two wins this season, championship runner-up.

From 1992 he was a regular in the Japanese Touring Car Championship and increased in 1998 to the Super GT. For years he could always place it in the top box located on the popular GT Championship. In 2003 he was third overall. Also in Formula Nippon he could celebrate race wins and in 2000 he won on a Honda NSX a class victory at the 1000 km race at Suzuka.

In Germany the Japanese in 2003 was known as he got for Persson Motorsport in the DTM. With the Mercedes -Benz CLK DTM but he could not prevail against its competitors and left the series at the end of the season without countable income.

In 2004 he gave his debut for Racing for Holland in the 24- hour race at Le Mans and goes after the intermezzo in the DTM again in the Japanese GT Championship.
