KÄ…ty Bystrzyckie

Kąty Bystrzyckie ( German Winkelsdorf ) is a village in the south of Powiats Kłodzki in the Province of Lower Silesia in Poland. It is located four kilometers southwest of Lądek -Zdrój ( Bad Landeck ), whose community it belongs to.

Geography

Kąty Bystrzyckie located in the southeast of the Glatzer boiler, in a narrow valley of Kuhberge, the northern foothills of Śnieżnik Mountains. It is reached by a side road that branches off at Skowronki ( Lerch field) of the Province Road 392 to the south. Neighboring towns are Skowronki and Radochów in the north, Lądek -Zdrój in the northeast, Stójków in the east, and Strachocin Stronie Śląskie in the southeast and Rogóżka and Konradów in the southwest.

History

Winkelsdorf was first mentioned in 1346 as Winkler village. In the 14th and 15th centuries it was Latin as winkleri villa and designated 1560 as Winkelsdorf. It belonged to the rule Karpenstein in Glatz. In 1384 it was already vicarage, as the St. Catherine church, consecrated contained in a directory of parishes Glatzer, which was created this year. After the destruction of the castle Karpenstein 1443 it fell as a royal chamber village on the crown of Bohemia. Below the church of Winkelsdorf lost the parish status and was a branch church of Schreckendorf. During the Reformation, the population known to the Lutheran faith. After the recapture of the County of Glatz 1622/1623 by the imperial troops was recatholicisation of the residents. 1684 sold the Bohemian Chamber Winkelsdorf together with Oberthalheim, Voigstdorf, Heidelberg, Marktleuthen, Karpenstein Wolmsdorf and Konradswalde the Glatzer Upper Regent and Imperial Council Sigmund Hofmann ( † 1698 ), who was charged by the emperor with the title of lamps " star" to the peerage. His grandson Leopold Count von lights star sold Winkelsdorf and Wolmsdorf to Count Georg Olivier Wallis, who already had extensive possessions in the county of Glatz and Winkelsdorf connected with the reign mountain side.

After the Silesian Wars Winkelsdorf coincided with the county of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg to Prussia. 1783 sold Olivier Stephen Wallis inherited from his father all the possessions Erblandbaudirektor Friedrich Wilhelm Graf von Schlabrendorf on pride and Hassitz. Although this 1789, the dominions mountain side and Plomnitz sold to the Royal Council of Justice Franz von Mutius on Gellenau and Backwater, he kept the villages continue Winkelsdorf, Wolmsdorf, White Water and Martin Berg for himself and his reign Kunz incorporated this village. After the reorganization of Prussia Winkelsdorf belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was first incorporated into the county of Glatz. 1818 was reclassified in the county Habelschwerdt to which it belonged until 1945. 1939 counted 209 inhabitants.

As a result of World War II Winkelsdorf 1945 as almost all of Silesia was lost to Poland and was renamed Kąty Bystrzyckie. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced from eastern Poland. 1975-1998 belonged to Kąty Bystrzyckie Voivodeship Wałbrzych. Since many of the newly settled inhabitants left again in the following years Kąty Bystrzyckie, the population declined significantly and now amounts to around a quarter of the population by 1939. Thereby most of the houses and farms were left to decay. Using an Assistance Association, former Gottwald farm to be restored and converted into a meeting place

Attractions

  • The previously mentioned 1384 Parish Church of St. Catherine was rebuilt in 1540. She is now a branch church of Lądek Zdrój. The painting on the main altar shows the hl. Catherine. The four evangelists on the pulpit created in 1721 Michael Klahr the Elder. They were originally intended for the church of Rengersdorf. The figure group is no longer complete, since two of the figures have been lost by theft. The church was located in the postwar years in poor condition. It was set by a club founded in 1999 and renovated with the financial support of former German inhabitants repaired.
