Kazik Staszewski

Kazimierz Staszewski (also: Kazik Staszewski Kazik or only ) ( born March 12, 1963 in Warsaw, Poland) is a popular Polish rock / punk / rap singer, songwriter and saxophonist.

Biography

Kazik grew up with his mother and grandmother on in Warsaw. His father Stanisław Staszewski, a poet and musician, Kazik barely knew. When he was four years old, the father had the family, due to disputes with the socialist regime, left and fled to France, where he died in 1972. In May 1981, Kazik passed the Abitur. Because he did not want to do his military service, he did diagnose a mental illness in itself.

Bands

Kazik founded in 1979, the band from Poland in 1981 Novelty Poland emerged. The name Novelty Poland derives from the song "novelty " of the band Joy Division. Novelty Poland disbanded after only three months and one only known concert. In 1982, he called on the basis of Novelty Poland which still successful band cult into being in 1992, he founded Kazik na żywo and 1998 El Doopa. In 1991 he began his solo career in parallel.
