Kazımkarabekir

Kazımkarabekir is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Karaman. The city is located about 25 kilometers northwest of the provincial capital Karaman on the highway D -715 from Konya to Silifke.

The county is in the northwest of the province. It is bordered to the south, west and north by the province of Konya and in the east to the central district. The city is situated on the southern foothills of the plain of Konya (Konya Ovasi ), south of the mountain range Özyurt Dagi is the 2481 meter summit Kabakbaşı Dagi.

City and county are named after Kâzım Karabekir, a General in the Turkish War of Independence.
