Doping allegations

On 8 May 2007 Ganaha was sentenced to six -match suspension for doping. His doctor gave him an intravenous saline with vitamin B1, as he was suffering from a cold with fever and diarrhea, was dehydrated and could not drink. The corresponding treatment protocols of the League were sent correctly. The J-League interpreted this as doping because it saw no immediate need for the infusion and a request for approval of that was not present and so was offended the anti -doping rules of the league and fined the club and players. The International Court of Sport CAS lifted on 26 May 2008, the penalty on the grounds that the saline does not lead to an increase in performance and that the league had a duty to prove that the infusion was medically unnecessary.
