Kazuro Watanabe

Kazuro Watanabe (Japanese渡 辺 和 郎, Watanabe Kazuro; born May 1, 1955 in Kushiro, Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese amateur astronomer and member of the Astronomical Society of Japan.

Watanabe is a discoverer of more than 500 asteroids. He is the author or co-author of the Japanese publications Shōwakusei Hunter (小惑星 ハンター, shōwakusei Hanta, dt " Asteroid Hunter") Tentai Shashin Manual (天体 写真 マニュアル, Tentai shashin manyuaru, dt " celestial bodies Photography Guide"), Bokura no Yume no Hoshizora (僕ら の 夢 の 星空, GV " The starry sky of our dreams " ) and others. In addition, he frequently writes articles in the monthly Japanese magazine Gekkan Tenmon Guide (月刊 天文 ガイド, Gekkan Tenmon Gaido, dt "Monthly Astronomy leader ").
