Københavns Idræts Forening

Københavns Idræts Forening (also Københavns IF, KIF ) is a Danish athletics club from Østerbro, Copenhagen.

The club was founded in 1892 and is the first and oldest athletics club in Denmark. The name was changed in 1914 by Københavns Fodsports - Forening at Københavns Idræts Forening ( KIF ). The club has won nearly 500 Danish championships and produced nearly 40 athletes who took part in the Olympic Games. The KIF organized Denmark's largest athletics event, the Eremitagelauf. The association has its sports facilities on Østerbro the stadium and the club Danmark halls in Valby.
