KC Boutiette

KC Boutiette ( born April 11, 1970 in Tacoma ) is an American speed skater.

KC Boutiette was the first U.S. inline skater who switched to speed skating of this sport. Originally Boutiette wanted 1993 only improve his technique, then remained at speed skating. Five times he was U.S. champion inline skater. His international debut was at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. Over 1500 meters, he finished 39th place here until 2006 Boutiette participated in another three Olympic Games. In 1998 he was eighth over 1000 meters, fifth over 1500 meters and eighth in the 10,000 meters, fifth in 2002 on the 5000 - meter course in 2006 and sixth in the team competition.

Apart from 2002, he took between 1994 and 2005 annually in the World Championships. Medals he could never win, but he missed a medal in fourth place only four times rank just barely. Six times he won titles at the U.S. Championships or U.S. Trials, eleven times he finished second, third once. Best place in the World Cup was a fifth place in the 2003/04 season in the rankings over 5000/10000 meters. His best World Cup result in a single race was a third place, this placement he reached five times. Once he finished second in a team race. His only victory in a World Cup was a small four- fight, which did not respond in the World Cup standings.
