Kczewo, SÅ‚upsk County

Kczewo ( German name Egsow ) is a village in Poland on the border between the Province of Pomerania and West Pomerania Voivodeship. It belongs to the rural community Kobylnica ( Kublitz ) in the district of Slupsk ( Stolp ).

Geographical location

The former estate village Kczewo located 14 kilometers east of Sławno ( Schlawe ) and 18 kilometers west of Slupsk on a side street, the main road 6 ( former German Reich Straße 2, now also European Route 28 ) Gdansk - Szczecin in Reblino ( Reblin ) with the province road 209 at Tychowo ( (Wendish ) Tychow ) Sławno - Bytów ( Buetow ) connects. History

In a document, in the Swantopolk II of Pomerania (1195-1266) the Order of St. John several villages, including the then -called Hiweze Egsow about is, the village was first mentioned. In the Middle Ages, he is one of Kleis Tsches fief, and in 1628 Hans Natzmer is called to Egsow. 1734 is the village to the family of Blumenthal.
