Kéba Mbaye

Keba Mbaye (* August 5, 1924 in Kaolack, Senegal, † January 11, 2007 in Dakar ) was a Senegalese jurist ( judge) and sports official.

Mbaye Dakar went to school and studied law. He became a judge and president of the Supreme Court of Senegal. From 1982 to 1991 he was a judge and from 1987 to 1991 Vice- President of the International Court of Justice in The Hague, where he also served as an ad hoc judge in several cases.

From 1973 he was a member of the International Olympic Committee from 1988 to 1992 and again from 1998 to 2002 as its vice president. He also appeared in 1983 as president of the International Sports Court and from 1999 as chairman of the Ethics Committee of the IOC.

Mbaye was the author of several jurisprudential books.
