Kei Cozzolino

Kei Cozzolino (born 9 November 1987 in Ichigaya, Japan ) is an Italian race car driver.

Career

Cozzolino was born in Japan and grew up in Japan. He made ​​his first motor sport experience in 1999 in the Japanese karting. In 2007 he moved to Formula racing. He raced in the Japanese Formula Challenge and was ninth overall with a win. 2008 Cozzolino joined the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. He scored four podium finishes and finished the season off on the sixth championship course. 2009 remained Cozzolino in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship. With a win and a total of six podium finishes, he reached the fourth place in the drivers' standings. 2010 moved Cozzolino in the Formula Nippon and received a cockpit at Team LeMans. With a fourth place as best result he finished the season in tenth place in the driver standings. When not to the championship scoring Fuji Sprint Cup, he scored the pole position.

After an almost two year hiatus returned Cozzolino end of 2012 back into motorsport and debuted in touring car racing. For ROAL Motorsport he participated in the season finale of the World Touring Car Championship ( WTCC) in part on the Guia Circuit. He replaced while his compatriot Alberto Cerqui.
