Keiichiro Hirano

Keiichiro Hirano (Japanese平野 启 一郎, Keiichiro Hirano, born June 22, 1975 in Gamagōri ) is a Japanese writer.

Hirano debuted in 1998 as a student with the novel Nisshoku, for which he was awarded the Akutagawa Prize in the following year. Immediately after the completion of his studies appeared in 1999, his second novel Ichigetsu monogatari. In his novel Soso (2002) Hirano wrote about Frédéric Chopin, George Sand and Eugene Delacroix. A first collection of short stories was published in 2003 under the title Shimizu, another titled Shitariochiru tokeitachi no hamon followed in 2004. DON 2009 he received the Prix des Deux Magots Bunkamura.
