Keith Langford
Keith Langford ( born September 15, 1983 in Fort Worth, Texas ) is an American professional basketball player. The playing on the position of the Guard Langford is since the 2012/13 season at EA7 Emporio Armani Milan under contract. In the 2007 /08 season he played briefly in the NBA for the San Antonio Spurs. Langford won with Virtus Bologna, the Euro Challenge 2008 /09 as well as with Maccabi Tel Aviv, the ABA league in 2012. Doing so, he was both awarded the "Most Valuable Player " ( MVP ) of the Finals Tournament. His two years younger brother Kevin plays as a professional basketball player also in Europe.
Career
The 1.93 m wide guard played at the University of Kansas, where he ( 1,812 points) finished his collegiate career as the sixth highest points scorer in the history of the college. In the 2005 NBA Draft but was not selected by the NBA club.
In the season 2005/ 06 Langford played for the Fort Worth Flyers of the NBA Development League and the Kansas Cagerz in the USBL. He then played one season in the second Italian league Legadue at Vanoli Soresina.
Keith Langford was reconstructed in 2007 a chance to play in the NBA. He was invited to the training camp of the San Antonio Spurs, but was released on October 24. He then moved to the NBA D -League Austin Toros to. On December 28, he then got a contract with the San Antonio Spurs, which include the Toros. Even on the same day he played against the Toronto Raptors, the first NBA game of his career. After only two matches played Langford was released on January 7, again in 2008 by the Spurs. Despite a contract extension in March 2011, they separated before the season 2011/12. After BK Khimki was acquired by Rimas Kurtinaitis as a coach, but they separated in the pre-season to the following season. Officially it was announced that it was unclear whether Langford would reach his old performance after injury again. A month later, he signed a contract with the Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv series. With Maccabi he won again the domestic double of league and cup, but in the ULEB Euro League 2011/12 was in the quarter-final play-offs last stop defending champions Panathinaikos Athens.
