Kéknyelű

Kéknyelű, German also Kéknyelû is a very old Hungarian white wine grape. You may be closely related to the occurring in Friuli Picolit Bianco, perhaps even identical. The rather small, gold-green, mostly braungefleckten berries form small lockerbeerige grapes that are very verrieselungsanfällig. The variety of drives early, it is therefore very vulnerable to late frosts. The earlier in Hungary widespread vine is now only more cultured due to their low income and their demands on location and climate in the region of Lake Balaton, where it provides excellent, racy and nuanced wines of good shelf life, especially in the region around Badacsony, the are held by some experts for the best dry white wines of Hungary.
