Kelley O'Hara

Kelley Maureen O'Hara (* August 4, 1988 in Fayetteville, Georgia) is an American soccer player. She plays for Sky Blue FC and the U.S. national team.

Life and career

O'Hara began playing football in the U -10 team in the Peachtree City Lazers, moved to the U- 12 for Lightning Soccer Club, then returned to the U- 17 of the Lazers. After enrolling at Stanford University, she played from 2006 to 2009 for the Stanford Cardinal, which inter alia the MAC Hermann Trophy was awarded and was recorded as PAC 10 Player of the Year and NSCAA Collegiate Scholar Athlete of the Year. In 2010 she played for FC Gold Pride of Women's Professional Soccer and won the championship. Since the club was disbanded due to financial problems in November 2010, she moved to the Boston Breakers.

O'Hara went through several U.S. youth teams and was a member of the squad that won the CONCACAF U -20 Women's Championship in 2006 and with 18 years as the second- youngest player on the U-20 team which at the U- 20 World Cup in Russia Fourth, after they each lost both the semifinals and in the 3rd place match on penalties.
