Kenneth Cragg

( Albert) Kenneth Cragg ( born March 8, 1913November 13, 2012 ) was an Anglican cleric, Bishop and researchers. He has appeared in more than fifty years, written numerous comments on religious subjects, especially on the Muslim- Christian relations.

Career

After his Abitur at the Blackpool Grammar School and studying at Jesus College (Oxford) Cragg got 1934 Grafton scholarship. In 1937 he was ordained.

He served first at Higher Tranmere Parish Church, Birkenhead and then in the church of All Saints in Beirut, after which he was rector in Longworth. Later he was a professor of Arabic and Islam at Hartford Seminary in Connecticut. In 1970 he became an assistant bishop of Jerusalem Episcopal Church of Jerusalem and the Middle East. From 1970 to 1974 he was Bishop of Egypt.

In 1940 he married Melita Arnold. She died in 1989.
