Kensuke Sasaki

Kensuke Sasaki (Japanese佐 々 木 健 介, Kensuke Sasaki, * August 4, 1966 in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture) is a Japanese wrestler, promoter and former MMA fighter. One of the biggest successes of his career was the five-time receipt of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Sasaki is married to the wrestler Akira Hokuto since 1 October 1995. With this he founded in 2005 the promotion Kensuke Office Pro - Wrestling ( now Diamond Ring).

Career

Sasaki was trained by Riki Choshu. On February 16, 1986 Sasaki debuted in Japan Pro Wrestling ( the promotion of Riki Choshu ).

New Japan Pro Wrestling (1987-2002) / North America / Europe

In June 1987, Sasaki came to New Japan Pro Wrestling ( NJPW ). From 1988 to 1990 he appeared in Canada ( STAMPEDE wrestling) and the USA. In the U.S., he appeared at the World Wrestling Council, where he won his first title, the WWC Caribbean Tag Team Championship, with Mr. Pogo on 14 January 1989. In 1989, he appeared in Europe in the Catch Wrestling Association.

On November 1 In 1990, Sasaki, in NJPW, with Hiroshi Hase the IWGP Tag Team Championship. The title they gave from Hiro Saito and Super Strong Machine. Of these won Sasaki and rabbit, on 6 March 1991, the title back. On March 21, they gave up the titles to The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner).

From 1992 to 1996 Sasaki occurred several times in World Championship Wrestling ( WCW ).

The end of 1992 he made as Power Warrior, with Road Warrior Hawk, the tag team The Hell Raisers. With Road Warrior Hawk Sasaki won the IWGP Tag Team Championship twice.

On 13 November 1995 Sasaki won the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship from Sting. The title he gave to One Man Gang from.

1996 Sasaki joined briefly again as Power Warrior, in collaboration with The Road Warriors, on.

On 31 August 1997 he won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship of Shinya Hashimoto. The title he gave to Tatsumi Fujinami.

1997 and 2000, Sasaki won the G1 Climax tournament.

On 4 January 2000 Sasaki the IWGP Heavyweight Championship won for the second time. By 2004, he won the title a further three times.

Fighting World of Japan Pro Wrestling ( 2003)

In 2003, Sasaki went to Fighting World of Japan Pro Wrestling ( WJ ). The promotion was founded by his first coach Riki Choshu. In WJ Sasaki won the WMG Heavyweight Championship.

New Japan Pro Wrestling (2004-2005)

End of 2003, Sasaki Fighting World of Japan Pro Wrestling left again and returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling. On 12 March 2004 he won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. The title he gave up after just 16 days, on March 28, to Bob Sapp. In NJPW Sasaki feuded against Yuji Nagata.

Sasaki founded in 2004, Stable Kensuke Office.

All Japan Pro Wrestling (2005-2008)

In March 2005, Sasaki New Japan Pro Wrestling left and signed a contract with All Japan Pro Wrestling ( AJPW ).

On April 20, Sasaki won the Champion Carnival. In AJPW he formed with Katsuhiko Nakajima ( a member of the Stable Kensuke Office ) a tag team. Together they won on 26 July 2005, the All Asia Tag Team Championship. In July Sasaki injured his eye and the title was declared vacant.

On 26 August 2007, he won the AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship from Minoru Suzuki. The title he gave on 29 April 2008 at Suwama.

Pro Wrestling NOAH (2008 -present)

In June 2008, Sasaki APJW left and signed in July an agreement with Pro Wrestling NOAH. There he won on September 6, the GHC Heavyweight Championship. The title he gave to June Akiyama on March 1, 2009. In September Sasaki Takeshi Morishima formed with a tag team. With Morishima he won the GHC Tag Team Championship on September 21. The title they gave off after 76 days, on December 6th, Mohammed Yone and Takeshi Rikio.

Kensuke Office Pro-Wrestling/Diamond ring

In 2005, Sasaki and his wife Akira Hokuto Kensuke Office Pro - Wrestling. Initially, an agency that provides you your own shows from 2007 to the legs. As Sasaki (mostly) occur at Pro Wrestling NOAH, you work closely with them.

Early 2012 was renamed " Kensuke Office Pro - Wrestling " in " Diamond Ring". The training school by Sasaki will continue to bear the name " Kensuke Office ".

MMA (2001-2003)

In 2001 Sasaki denied a MMA fight. In September 2002, he left New Japan Pro Wrestling and trained for his MMA career. After another battle in 2003, he ended his MMA career and went back to his wrestling career.
