History
After the 2nd World War Kenwood 1946 as a radio producer, originally as Kasuga Radio Co. Ltd.. Founded in Komagane City of Jiro Kasuga and renamed in 1950 in Kasuga Radio Industry Corporation. 1955 in Tokyo, a plant was built for mass production in 1960 and renamed the company in Trio Corporation. In 1961, the company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. With an office in Los Angeles began in 1963, the expansion and global marketing. On 14 May 1968, the European office opened in Belgium. In 1972, the company's founder Jiro Kasuga left the company and founded a new company named Kensonic.
