Kevin Crossley-Holland

Kevin John William Crossley -Holland ( born February 7, 1941 in Mursley, North Buckinghamshire ) is a British children 's and teen book author, poet, translator and member of the Royal Society of Literature.

Crossley- Holland grew up in Whiteleaf, a small town in the Chilterns. He studied literature at the College St Edmund Hall, Oxford University.

Awards

Crossley- Holland was awarded the 1986 Carnegie Medal for his book Storm, the Smarties Prize in 2000 for Arthur - The Seeing Stone ( German: Arthur - The Magic Mirror ), the Guardian Children's Fiction Award 2001 and the Tir na n- Og Award 2001.
