Kevin McDonald (bishop)

Kevin John Patrick McDonald ( born August 18, 1947 in Stoke -on-Trent, Staffordshire, United Kingdom) is a British clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Southwark old.

Life

Kevin McDonald received on 20 July 1974, and was ordained priest incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Birmingham.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 29 March 2001 to the Bishop of Northampton. He received his episcopal consecration of Bishop Emeritus of Northampton, Patrick Leo McCartie, on 2 May of the same year; Patrick Altham Kelly were co-consecrators, Archbishop of Liverpool, and Vincent Nichols, Archbishop of Birmingham.

On November 6, 2003, he was appointed Archbishop of Southwark and introduced into the office on 8 December of the same year. From his office he resigned on 4 December 2009.

Kevin McDonald 's since 2003, Grand Prior of the Lieutenancy of England and Wales of the Equestrian Order of the Holy grave in Jerusalem.
