Kevin Misher

Kevin Michael Mixers (born 1965 in Queens, New York) is an American film producer.

Life

Mixers was born in Queens and grew up there. He graduated at the University of Pennsylvania 's Wharton School of Business. He then worked in New York for the entertainment industry as a financial analyst of management at HBO. When he moved to Los Angeles, he worked first as a clerk, then as an agent at International Creative Management (abbreviated ICM), an agency for actors. He was then hired by CEO of TriStar Pictures, Mike Medavoy, as a leader. In his tenure Mixers quickly rose and supervised some movie productions, including Donnie Brasco by Mike Newell and starring Johnny Depp and Al Pacino in the lead roles.

In 1996, Kevin Mixers Moving to Universal and received at the age of 33 years, a job as president of production. Under his successful films like Out of Sight ( with George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez ) and Erin Brockovich were produced ( with Julia Roberts ), but also successful film series launches such as The Mummy, My bride, her father and I, The Fast and the Furious and The Bourne Identity.

In 2001 left Mixers Universal Pictures and founded his own film production company Mixers film. Their first film project, The Scorpion King starring Dwayne Johnson, an offshoot of the film series The Mummy produced.

In 2003 he produced the film The Rundown starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Seann William Scott. The political thriller The Interpreter, starring Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn, he produced also for Universal Pictures.

Mixers worked in 2009 as a producer on the films, Fighting starring Channing Tatum and Terrence Howard and the horror film case was published 39 with Renée Zellweger by Paramount Pictures from the company Rouge Pictures. Public Enemies with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale for director Michael Mann was released on 1 July 2009 in the U.S. and on August 7 in German theaters by Universal Pictures. Focus Features released the film produced by him comedy It's Kind of a Funny Story with Zach Galifianakis in the lead role in 2010.
