KFVS TV Mast

The KFVS transmission tower (also Raycom America Tower Cape Girardeau ) is an 511.1 -meter-high radio mast for the programs of the local television company KFVS in Cape Girardeau (Missouri ) in the USA. He joined the U.S. media company Raycom Media.

The transmission tower was erected in 1960 for the distribution of television programs, which can be received not only in Missouri, but also in parts of Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas because of the enormous height of the transmitter tower.

The mast was at the time of its completion the tallest building in the world and also the first to be higher than 500 meters.
