Khabib Allakhverdiev

Chabib Mewlidinowitsch Allachwerdiew; Russian: Хабиб Мевлидинович Аллахвердиев; English transcription: Khabib Mevlidinovitch Allakhverdiev ( born December 8, 1982 in Kaspijsk, Dagestan ) is a Russian professional boxer and current world champion of the WBA and IBO light welterweight.

Amateur career

As an amateur boxer he won in 172 of 189 fights and in 1998 won the silver medal at the Cadet European Championships in Jurmala. He suggested doing Rafał Szamocki from Poland ( Ko), Pavol Hlavačka from Slovakia ( 11:5 ) and Giovanni Iadicicco from Italy ( Ko), before the Romanians Marius Bughiata defeated on points in the final.

In 1999, he won the Russian Junior Championships Bantamweight, and in 2000 the bronze medal in the lightweight at the Junior World Championships in Budapest. Professional career
