Khalid Al Qassimi

Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi ( born February 18, 1972) is a rally driver from Abu Dhabi. He is currently driving for Ford in the World Rally Championship.

Career

Al Qassimis actual career began in 2002 when he participated in various local rally events in Abu Dhabi. 2004 won the FIA Middle East Rally Championship and launched for the first time in the PWRC, which takes place as part of the World Rally Championship. Then in the course of the 2007 season he was given the opportunity in the WRC to start and drove for the BP Ford World Rally Team. In 2009, he won his first World Cup points, his best placing it reached in the year in the Rally of Greece, where he was sixth overall. In 2011 starts with a Ford Fiesta RS WRC for the team Abu Dhabi in the World Rally Championship. At the Rally Australia in 2011, he improved with the fifth overall his best result.
