Khamcha-i District

Amphoe Khamcha -i ( Thai อำเภอ คำชะอี ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Mukdahan. The Mukdahan province lies in the western part of the Northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Dong Luang which, Mueang Mukdahan and Nong Sung Province Mukdahan, and Amphoe Khao Wong Kuchinarai and in the province of Kalasin.

History

Khamcha -i was born on June 24, 1941 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the six Tambon Khamcha -i, Nong Sung, Ban Song, Ban Kho, Ban Nong Ian Lao, and Amphoe Mueang Mukdahan were separated from. In 1956 Khamcha -i got the full Amphoe status. When in 1982 the new Mukdahan Province was created Khamcha -i was one of the counties from which the new province was originally.

Management

Amphoe Khamcha -i is divided into nine subdistricts (tambon ), which continued in 87 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Khamcha -i itself ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คำชะอี ) has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), it consists of parts of the tambon Nam Thiang.

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
