Khatanbaatar Magsarjav

Chatanbaatar Magsardschaw (Mongolian Хатанбаатар Магсаржав, "Fixed hero " Magsardschaw or Сандагдоржийн Магсаржав, Sandagdordschiin Magsardschaw; * 1878, † 1927) was a general in the battle of Mongolia 's independence, and in 1921 a few months Mongolian Prime Minister. In 1924 he was given the additional title of honor Ardyn Chatanbaatar Magsardschaw (Mongolian Ардын Хатанбаатар Магсаржав, Fixed Hero of the People Magsardschaw ).

Magsardschaw supported the autonomy movement in Mongolia after the Chinese Revolution in 1912. He refused to withdraw from Khovd, even after it Magsardschaw had sent a letter to the Mongolian government from Urga in which these urged him to do so. After re- entry of Chinese Magsardschaw was arrested in 1919, but later freed during the campaign of Baron von Ungern- Sternberg. From February 15th to March 1921 he served under von Ungern- Sternberg's reign of terror as Prime Minister of Mongolia. He died in 1927.
