Ki no Tomonori

Ki no Tomonori (Japanese纪 友 则; * 850, † 904) was in the early Heian period of Japan a waka poet of the imperial court and one of the Thirty-Six Immortals of Poetry.

He was co-editor of the famous Kokin - Wakashū, although he no longer witnessed its completion, as the anthology includes an obituary for him by Ki no Tsurayuki, who was a co-editor on the other.

Ki no Tomonori is the author of several poems in the Kokin - washakū and a few of his poems appear in later official collections. A collection of his poems from different sources appeared as the Tomonori shū.
