Kidon

Kidon (Hebrew for bayonet or spear tip) is a special department of the Israeli secret service Mossad. It leads attacks by taking utmost secrecy.

Kidon emerged from the Mossad special unit Caesarea, which was entrusted with the liquidation of the hostage-takers and people behind the hostage-taking of Munich in 1972.

Kidon is said to have also carried out the assassination of Hamas official Mahmoud al - Mabhouh in January 2010, according to information the magazine Der Spiegel.
