Kidult

Kidult is a portmanteau word (formation of Kid, engl. For child and adult, engl. For adult) and referred mainly an adult who consciously cultivates child or children associated behaviors, hobbies or preferences for products.

For example, in many adult women products from the Hello Kitty series are very popular, which were originally produced actually for young girls.

Occasionally, the word is also used in reverse meaning: For a child or young person who takes responsibility very early or other adult or adult shows typical attributed behaviors.

Both meanings set in contrast to terms such as Peter Pan syndrome and child-woman is not necessarily derogatory or psychopathological ratings, the expression Kidult can also be used in these contexts.
