Kiira Korpi

Kiira Korpi Linda Katriina ( born September 26, 1988 in Tampere ) is a Finnish figure skater. Her father Rauno is a professional ice hockey coach.

She started at the age of 5 years with the figure skating. Your trainer is Maaret Siromaa. Your participation in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, she finished in 16th place. She took in 2005 at the World Junior Championships and 2006 at the European Figure Skating Championships in part. After her second place (2004/2005) and third place (2005/2006) in the Finnish championship they could qualify through their results at the European Championships 2006 ( 6th place ) for one of the two Finnish starting places at the Olympic Games in 2006. She won the bronze medal at the 2007 European Championships, the World Championships, she was fourteenth. The following year she was ninth at the World Championships, the European Championships she finished fifth place, the same result they also reached at the European Championships in 2009, after she became Finnish Champion for the first time in the same season. At the European Championships in 2010 they could be improved to 4th place and missed the bronze medal just barely. At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Kiira Korpi finished in 11th place.
