Kike MaÃllo
Kike Maíllo Iznajar ( born June 3, 1975 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish film director and screenwriter.
Life
Kike Maíllo studied from 1994 at the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya ( ESCAC ). His thesis was created in 1999 short film Las cabras de Freud, in the Tristán Ulloa took over the lead role of Angel.
First, he made numerous commercials for companies such as Nestle, photo Prix, Tele Pizza or FC Barcelona. Besides created artistic works as well as music videos for artists such as Pastora Soler, Raphael or Manos de Topo.
Followed in 2003 by his second short film Los perros de Pavlov. From 2009 he worked on the animated series Arròs covat, first as a writer, and later as a director. In 2011, Eva, Maíllos first feature film in which Daniel Brühl and Marta Etura took over the lead roles originated. The film was honored with numerous awards, including the Goya for Best New Director and the Audience Award at the Gerardmer Film Festival.
Since 2000 he teaches at the ESCAC in the subjects screenwriter and film director.
