Kim Il-sung Socialist Youth League

The Socialist Youth Association " Kim Il-sung " ( KISSYL, formerly Democratic Youth League of Korea ) is a public mass organization for children and young people in North Korea. The organization includes, according to official North Korean Information eight million members - "Five million young people aged 14 to 30 years, three million pioneers. " It is regarded as "Reserve and reliable helper of the Party " which is " solely by the revolutionary ideas Kim Il Sung's conduct " leave. KISSYL belongs to the World Federation of Democratic Youth ( WFDY ).

History

On August 28, 1927 was the first Communist Youth League of Korea ( KJVK ). Kim Il Sung (1912-1994), who later became heads of state and party leader of North Korea, was already one of the many founding members. Today August 28 is the anniversary of the association's establishment in North Korea official Youth Day.

On January 17, 1946 Kim Il Sung created then the Democratic Youth League of Korea (DJV ). The DJV has after North Korean historiography played an important role in the implementation of the socialist revolution in North Korea as youth organization of the Party. During his school years, Kim Il Sung's son, Kim Jong Il was active in DJV, from September 1957. Deputy chairman of the school committee of the DJV in the First Pyongyang Middle School

In May 1964, the League of Korea ( VSJAK ) renamed in Federation of Socialist Working Youth of. In October 1981, the VII Congress of the VSJAK took place. The association resulted in 1989 in Pyongyang, the 13th World Festival of Youth and Students through.

In January 1996, the association gave its present name.

Organization

Organizational structures exist both in educational institutions and in enterprises. The highest organ of the KISSYL is the Congress and the smallest outline the cell. Organized between Congress and directs the Central Board the political work of the association.

The organ of the Central Committee of the KISSYL is the nation's newspaper distributed Chongnyon Jonwi.
