Life

Kim Jong -hae was born on 23 July 1941 in Busan. He was one of the founding members of the journal Sinnyŏndae ( 신 년대 ), a member of the journal Hyŏndaesi ( 현대 시 ) and also participated in the publication of magazines such as patriotism ( 나라 사랑 ) and likeness ( 심상 ). He served as secretary general of the Korean poet Association ( 한국 시인 협회 ), as director of the Korean publishing and Cultural Association ( 대한 출판 문화 협회 ) and is currently chairman of the publishing house Munhak Segye -sa ( 문학 세계사 ) operates.

His writing career can be divided into three distinct periods. The first period extends from its official debut and the publication of his first collection of poems, ranging in the early seventies, when he published his second collection of poems. During this time, presented his poetry the emptiness and despair of contemporary reality and the will of the poet to come as those, as well as the belief that this would succeed him.

The second period of his career begins with the poem The soul Souls ( 서울 의 정신 (精神) ), includes slave, stand up! (贱 如, 일어서 다 ) and ends in the late seventies with the publication of his third collection of poems. Although his poems from this period represent profound tragedy in the heart of reality, so they wrap these but in trust and love. Several works of this period have the mother as a subject, which is represented as a god-like person who can save the world from the cruel reality of the present and encourages deeper mediation on the real meaning of love and trust.

The third period of his career took place in the late eighties when he continuously examined the problems of life and reality in his poetry
