Kim Joo-young

Kim Joo -young ( born January 26, 1939 in Jinbo, Gyeongsangbuk -do) is a South Korean writer.

Life

Kim Joo -young was born on January 26, 1939 in Jinbo, Circle Cheongsong in North Gyeongsang Province. He spent his youth in poverty. By the will of his father, he attended the Agricultural School in Daegu, Department of Animal Production. However, his real interest was in literature and so he began to write poetry. In 1960, he finally was able to begin his two-year study of literature. However, after college, he embarked on a career that had no relation to literature.

In 1970 he was able to publish his novel on the summer hunt in a monthly magazine for literature ( Wôlganmunhak ). A year later, in October 1971, he received an award for the new novel resting phase. He treated in this novel, first the lives of the poor and their healthy attitude towards life.

By the time he devoted his interest his childhood experiences. Because of his poetic and sensitive language, he finds great response from the readers. In works such as The realtors, Donnnergrollen, A fisherman the reed is not broken or the stingrays always forms the place of his childhood background of his stories.

Why does he like to choose the home as the background of his novels, he explains as follows: "We spend our childhood mentally and physically a very pure time. Of course, these experiences shape us long term. This is fateful for a writer. "

Kim Joo -young published his novel The broker first as a serial novel in a Seoul newspaper (Seoul Sinmun ). The critics responded positively because they saw a new way to Roman history in this work. The author researched more than ten times on the same market town, on which he intended to write. In addition, he collected with passion about linguistic peculiarities and customs of the peddler. It was a masterpiece, in the documentary with literary imagination is consistent.
