Kimberly " Kim " Vandenberg ( born December 13, 1983 in Berkeley, California) is an American swimmer.

Career

Vandenberg is currently riding at Coach Gregory Kincheloe for the New York Athletic Club.

In 2004, she first drew attention to himself when she won her first national title over 200 meters butterfly. In the same year, she failed to qualify for the Trials for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens for the final amortized over the same distance, there retired but as a fifth- best in the battle for the two starting places for the Olympic team.

2005 Kim Vandenberg won the silver medal on her specialty distance is 200 meter butterfly at the 2005 Summer Universiade in Izmir their first medal in international competitions.

The biggest triumph of her career in an individual event she won at the World Swimming Championships in Melbourne in 2007 when she won the silver medal in the 200 meter butterfly.

Qualification for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing in the Trials went through to grow as they on the one hand as a fifth over 200 meters freestyle for the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay of the Olympic teams qualified, but on the other hand, through its special route, the 200 meter butterfly, as for Vandenberg Ditte behind Elaine Breeden and Kathleen Hersey qualification just missed. At the Olympics, she won even with the 4 × 200 meter freestyle relay bronze medal, with Vandenberg itself started only in the flow.
