Kinebar

A Kinebar (Greek: κίνησις [ Kinesis ] = "movement" and English: bar = " bars ") is a gold bar which contains on the back of a Kinegramm that guarantees the authenticity of the ingot. It is a proprietary technology to protect against forgery of banknotes, metal bars, passports, visas and identity cards. The so-called Kinebarren are produced by the Mint Argor- Heraeus.

History

The Mint Argor -Heraeus Kinebarren imprinted with a purity of 99.99 percent since the year 1994. The naming rights for the Kinebar are, however, at the Swiss bank UBS. The different sizes of one gram to an ounce are manufactured and offered both under his own name as well as for third parties.

Design

Kinebarren differ on their front hardly normal gold bars. Here can be found next to the manufacturer's specification and the fineness of the bar as well as its weight. In addition, a serial number is imprinted. Significant differences from the classical gold bars can be found, however, on the back, which is equipped with the unique Kinegramm.

Production

Kinebarren are manufactured by Argor -Heraeus in a complex process. Following the embossing on the back while a Sicherheitskinegramm is applied, which has been developed by the Swiss patent OVD Kinegram AG.
